    Often when some people ponder over a job in the gaming industry they typically think of the dealers and casino workers. it is only natural to look at it this way because those workers are the ones out front and in the public eye. That aside, the gaming arena is more than what you can see on the casino floor. Gaming has become an increasingly popular fun activity, highlighting growth in both population and disposable money.     Salaries will vary by establishment and region. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) stats show that full time gaming managers were paid a median annual salary of $46,820 in 1999. The lowest 10 per cent earned less than $26,630, and the highest 10 per cent earned just over $96,610.

    Gaming supervisors take charge of gaming operations and workers in an assigned area. Circulating among the table games, they make sure that all stations and games are taken care of for each shift. It also is typical for supervisors to interpret the casino’s operating laws for gamblers. Supervisors might also plan and organize activities for guests staying in their casino hotels.

    Gaming supervisors must have certain leadership qualities and top notch communication skills. They need these abilities both to manage staff properly and to greet players in order to promote return visits. Most casino supervisory staff have an associate or bachelor’s degree. No matter their their educational background, however, quite a few supervisors gain experience in other gaming occupations before moving into supervisory areas because an understanding of games and casino operations is essential for these workers.
