• Cambodia Gambling Halls

There is a captivating story to the Cambodia gambling dens that lie just over the border from neighboring Thailand, in which casino wagering is prohibited. Eight casinos are based in a generally tiny space in the municipality of Poipet in Cambodia. This conclave of Cambodia gambling halls is in a prime location, a 3 to 4 hour travel from Bangkok and Macao, the two largest betting locations in Asia. Cambodia gambling dens do a thriving business with Thai laborers and visitors from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with just a few Westerners. The amazing income acquired from the gambling dens ranges from $7.5 million to over 12.5 million dollars, and there are a number of controls constraints for gambling hall ownership. Ownership is assumed to be mostly Thai; although, investment sources are ambiguous. The borders are formally open from 09:00 to 17:00, and although visas are for all intents and purposes necessary to cross, there are methods and means around this, as is real of most borders.

The first Cambodia casinos premiered in Phnom Penh in 1994, but were required to close in 1998, leaving just one gambling den in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a docked ship casino, contains one hundred and fifty slot machine games and 60 table games. The Naga river boat never closes with forty two tables of mini-baccarat chemin de fer, four tables of 21, ten of roulette, two of Caribbean Stud Poker, and one each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.

The 1st gambling hall in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, opened in the late nineties and the Golden Crown before long opened. There are one hundred and fifty slot machine games and five table games at the Golden Crown and one hundred and four slot machine games and 68 tables at the Holiday Palace. The newer Holiday Palace Casino and Resort features 300 slots and 70 table games and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has one hundred and sixty six one armed bandits and 96 gaming tables, including eighty seven punto banco (the most popular game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Also, there is the Casino Tropicana, with 135 one armed bandits and 66 of the familiar gaming tables, as well as one table of Casino Stud Poker. One more of the 8 casinos in Poipet, again a part of a motel, is the Princess Casino with 166 slot machines and ninety seven casino games. The Star Vegas Casino is is located in an all-around vacation and hotel building that contains numerous luxuries in addition to the gambling hall, which provides ten thousand sq.ft. of one hundred and thirty one armed bandits and 88 gaming tables.
